Ingredients

  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cloves

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 275°F (135°C).
  2. Spread pecan halves on an ungreased 15 x 10-inch jelly roll pan.
  3. Bake at 275°F for 10 minutes.
  4. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, orange juice, cinnamon, salt, and cloves.
  5. Bring to a boil; boil for 2 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Remove from heat; stir in the pecans.
  7. Using a slotted spoon, remove the nuts to foil or waxed paper.
  8. Separate the nuts with a fork; let dry.
  9. Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place.
