Oven-fried apple pies feature sweet cooked apples wrapped in flaky biscuit crust, fried until golden. Perfect for a quick, comforting dessert or snack with warm cinnamon flavor.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked apples
  • pinch of salt
  • cinnamon to taste
  • 1 (10 count) can biscuits
  • sugar to taste
  • 2 to 3 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix cooked apples, salt, cinnamon, and sugar together.
  3. Roll biscuits very thin.
  4. Place about 1 1/2 tablespoons of apple mixture on half of each biscuit.
  5. Fold over the biscuit and crimp edges with a fork to seal.
  6. Pour cooking oil into a sheet cake pan.
  7. Place 5 pies in the pan at a time.
  8. Bake for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until nicely browned.
