Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. powder tempera
  • 4 c. water
  • 2 c. shredded newspaper
  • 1/2 c. water

Instructions

  1. Mix 2 tablespoons of powder tempera, 4 cups of water, and 2 cups of shredded newspaper together in a large bowl and allow to sit for 24 hours.
  2. Add additional water and flour to the mixture and mix thoroughly.
  3. Use the mixture to form over a balloon or in molds as desired.
  4. Allow the paper mache to air dry, which may take up to 3 days depending on weather conditions.
  5. Optionally, spray with clear acrylic for a finished look.
