Ingredients

  • 1 c. shortening
  • 2/3 c. boiling water
  • 3 c. flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. baking powder

Instructions

  1. Pour boiling water over the shortening.
  2. Stir well to combine.
  3. Sift in the flour, salt, and baking powder, then stir until the mixture no longer sticks to the bowl.
  4. May be chilled in a large ball or divided into smaller portions.
  5. Wrap in foil before chilling.
