Ingredients

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 12 inch stick cinnamon, broken
  • 1/2 teaspoon whole cloves
  • 3 cups apple juice
  • 1 (12 oz.) can apricot nectar, chilled
  • 1/4 cup lemon or lime juice

Instructions

  1. Combine sugar, water, cinnamon, and cloves in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil, then cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  3. Strain and discard the spices. Chill the syrup.
  4. Combine the chilled syrup with apple juice, apricot nectar, and lemon or lime juice.
