Creamy, spicy party rye spread with sausage, ground meat, and cheeses, perfect for entertaining and sharing at gatherings with a savory, cheesy flavor profile.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. Jimmy Dean sausage
  • 1 lb. jalapeno cheese
  • 1 lb. ground meat
  • 1 lb. Velveeta cheese

Instructions

  1. Brown the sausage and ground meat in a skillet.
  2. Add cut pieces of Velveeta cheese and approximately four tablespoons of salsa, stirring until melted and well combined.
  3. Allow the mixture to cool completely.
  4. Spread the cooled mixture onto party rye bread slices and freeze on cookie sheets.
  5. Once frozen, transfer the party rye onto Baggies and store in the freezer.
  6. To serve, bake in a 350°F oven until slightly brown and hot, then serve.
