- Cook the assorted pasta in boiling, salted water until tender but firm, about 10 minutes.
- If desired, keep different shapes of pasta separate during cooking and frying.
- Drain the pasta thoroughly.
- Heat Crisco in a deep fryer or large pot to 365°F (185°C).
- Fry the pasta in batches, a few pieces at a time, until golden, about 2 minutes.
- Drain on paper towels.
- Immediately sprinkle generously with seasoned salt.
- Serve warm or cooled.
