Ingredients

  • 1 can chopped tomatoes and green chilies
  • 1 can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 can mushroom pieces, drained
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • 1 tsp cumin (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp crushed oregano

Instructions

  1. Blend chopped tomatoes and green chilies, stewed tomatoes, mushroom pieces, garlic salt, cumin (if using), and crushed oregano in a blender; don't whip.
  2. Pour the blended mixture over browned, extra lean ground beef.
  3. Simmer on low for 10 minutes.
  4. Serve over drained spaghetti or use as a topping for fried zucchini or squash and chopped onion, covered with cheese and baked.
