Peachy Ham Slice

Ingredients

  • 1 ham slice
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 1 c. (8 fluid oz.) water
  • 1/2 c. (3 1/2 oz.) sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. currant jelly
  • 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1 1/2 tsp. grated lemon peel

Instructions

  1. Gently saute ham in butter.
  2. In a saucepan, combine water, sugar, jelly, lemon juice and lemon peel.
  3. Cover and simmer for 5 minutes.
  4. Peel, half and pit peaches and place cut side down in sauce.
  5. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Turn and cook 5 more minutes.
  7. To serve, place ham on platter and garnish with peaches and sauce.
