Pear & Rose Pudding

Ingredients

  • 5-6 Ripe Bartlett Pears
  • 1/2 cup Low fat Greek Yogurt
  • 3 Egg Whites
  • 5 tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 tablespoons Cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon Rose Water
  • 2 pinches Cardamom powder
  • 5-6 Slivered Almonds for garnish

Instructions

  1. Peel, core and puree the pears in a food processor
  2. Blend in the Yogurt, Egg Whites, Sugar, Cornstarch and Cardamom
  3. Transfer the mixture to a non-stick pan and simmer for 20-25 or until it thickens.
  4. Add the Rose Water after the contents have simmered for a while
  5. Pour into individual serving bowls/stem glasses, allow it to cool and refrigerate for about one and a half hours
  6. Garnish with Almonds & Rose Petals and serve chilled
