Pecan Fried Okra

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pecans
  • 1 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 20 ounces okra
  • peanut oil

Instructions

  1. place pecans in an even layer in a shallow pan.
  2. bake at 350 fpr 10 minutes.
  3. process pecans, bisquick and salt and pepper in a food processor.
  4. place mixture in a large bowl, add okra and toss to coat.
  5. fry in oil until golden an drain on paper towels.
