Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 cups confectioners sugar

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a medium saucepan and stir in brown sugar. Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
  2. Boil and stir over low heat for 2 minutes.
  3. Stir in milk and heat to boiling.
  4. Remove from heat and cool to lukewarm.
  5. Gradually stir in confectioners sugar. Place the pan in a bowl of ice water.
  6. Beat the frosting until smooth and of spreading consistency.
