Pepper Roast

A flavorful boneless rump roast seasoned with garlic and lemon pepper, slow-cooked to tender perfection, ideal for hearty family dinners or special gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 5 to 6 lb boneless rump roast
  • slivered garlic
  • lemon pepper

Instructions

  1. Remove all fat from the roast.
  2. Make slits in the roast and insert slivered garlic into them.
  3. Wet the roast under faucet.
  4. Rub lemon pepper all over the roast and pat it in.
  5. Add more lemon pepper and pat it on for good measure.
  6. Marinate the roast for several hours or overnight.
  7. Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C).
  8. Place the roast in the oven, uncovered, and cook for 1 hour.
  9. Turn the oven to its lowest setting and cook for an additional 3 hours.
  10. Refrigerate the roast until thoroughly cold.
  11. Slice and serve.
