Peppered Garlic Bread

Ingredients

  • 1 (16-ounce) round loaf sourdough bread
  • 1/4 cup nonfat mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground pepper
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Slice bread vertically into 10 slices, cutting to, but not through, bottom of loaf. Slice 6 longest slices in half for a total of 16 slices. Spread one side of each bread slice evenly with mayonnaise; sprinkle with cheese, pepper, and garlic powder. Wrap loaf in aluminum foil, sealing edges. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes or until warm and toasted.
