Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 5 teaspoons baking powder
  • 2 teaspoons white sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter, chilled and
  • diced

Instructions

  1. Sift all dry ingredients into a bowl. Cut in butter to a flaky consistency.
  2. Stir in milk until a dough forms. Turn out onto a lightly floured surface. Knead lightly. Cut 2" dia. biscuits from 3/4" thick dough.
  3. Bake until golden brown (10 min +/-) in a preheated 425 degree oven.
