- Take a flat cookie sheet or jelly roll pan and cover it with foil. Spread saltine crackers on the pan to entirely cover it.
- In a saucepan, melt the butter and sugar together and bring to a boil for 3 minutes.
- Pour the hot butter and sugar mixture over the crackers evenly.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 7 minutes.
- Remove from oven and immediately sprinkle chocolate chips over the entire pan.
- Allow the chocolate to melt and develop a glossy look.
- Let cool completely, then break into pieces.
