Ingredients

  • 1 (No. 2) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 1/4 cups sugar
  • tart crust

Instructions

  1. Drain the crushed pineapple from the juice.
  2. Make a thick syrup by boiling the pineapple juice with 1 cup of sugar until concentrated.
  3. Roll out the tart crust and spread a thin layer of pineapple filling on it.
  4. Sprinkle dry sugar over the pineapple layer.
  5. Fold the tart and fry slowly until golden brown.
  6. Place on a platter and cover with pineapple syrup.
