Pineapple Trifle
A light, fruity dessert layered with tender cake, pineapple, creamy pudding, and whipped topping, perfect for entertaining or a refreshing family treat.

- Bake the cake according to the box directions and let it cool.
- Cut the cooled cake into small squares and set aside.
- Drain the pineapple tidbits and reserve the juice.
- In a large bowl, combine vanilla pudding mix, 1/2 cup of reserved pineapple juice, and milk.
- Beat at low speed with a mixer for 2 minutes or until thickened.
- Fold in sour cream and drained pineapple tidbits.
- Place one-third of the cake cubes in the bottom of a trifle bowl.
- Drizzle with one to two tablespoons of the remaining pineapple juice.
- Spoon in one-third of the pudding mixture over the cake layer.
- Repeat the layers with remaining cake, juice, and pudding.
- Chill the assembled trifle for at least 3 hours.
- Just before serving, spread the top with Cool Whip.
- Garnish if desired and serve.
