Ingredients

  • 4 c. flour
  • 2 Tbsp. baking powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 1/2 c. butter or margarine
  • 2 c. sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 Tbsp. vanilla

Instructions

  1. Blend first 3 ingredients.
  2. Cream together butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla.
  3. Beat to blend.
  4. Drop by heaping tablespoon on greased sheet.
  5. Bake at 350° to 375° (moderate) oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
  6. Add 2 cups chocolate chips or raisins or coconut if you like.
  7. Makes 4 dozen large cookies.
