Ingredients

  • 1 3/4 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. shortening, melted
  • 1 egg well beaten

Instructions

  1. Grease muffin tin. Add all dry ingredients together. Make a well in center. Beat egg until light, add shortening and milk. Mix and pour liquid into well and stir until flour mixture is well moistened. Fill muffin pan about half full. Bake at 400° for 20 - 25 minutes.
