Ingredients

  • 4 lb. plums
  • 3 c. sugar
  • 1 tsp. ground cloves
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. allspice

Instructions

  1. Wash and cook plums in a little water until tender.
  2. Press through a strainer.
  3. Add sugar and spices to pulp; cook over low heat for about 45 minutes or until mixture thickens; stir often. Pour into hot, sterilized jars and seal.
  4. Yields 4 pints.
