Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb oleo
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 4 c flour
  • 1 c shortening
  • 1 Tbsp almond extract
  • 12 Tbsp powdered sugar

Instructions

  1. Cream oleo and shortening together.
  2. Add vanilla and almond extract and mix well.
  3. Incorporate powdered sugar, flour, and pecans into the mixture.
  4. Chill the mixture for 1 hour.
  5. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls, then shape into crescents.
  6. Place the crescents on an ungreased cookie sheet.
  7. Bake at 400°F for 8 to 10 minutes until they are lightly browned.
  8. Remove from oven, cool slightly, then roll in powdered sugar before serving.
