Festive pomander balls filled with aromatic spices and cloves, adding a delightful scent to your home during Christmas celebrations, perfect for gifting or decoration.

Ingredients

  • 2 oranges
  • 1 1/2 cups whole cloves
  • 1/4 cup cinnamon
  • 1/8 cup allspice
  • 1/8 cup cloves
  • 1/8 cup powdered orrisroot
  • 1 tablespoon nutmeg
  • 1 tablespoon ginger
  • few drops cinnamon oil

Instructions

  1. Mix all the spices, powdered orrisroot, nutmeg, ginger, and cinnamon oil together, excluding the whole cloves and oranges.
  2. Use a pointed object to make holes all over the oranges.
  3. Insert one whole clove into each hole in the orange.
  4. Optionally, arrange cloves in a pattern for decorative effect.
  5. Roll the oranges in the spice mixture or place them in a bag with the mixture and shake to coat.
  6. Place the coated oranges in a dish and pour any remaining spice mixture over them.
  7. Set in a room where you want the scent to fragrance the space.
