Ingredients

  • 40 to 50 split graham crackers
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 2 sticks butter or margarine
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Arrange 40 to 50 split graham crackers side by side on a foil-covered, rimmed cookie sheet.
  2. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and 2 sticks butter in a pan and cook for 1 1/2 minutes over medium heat.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil, then remove from heat.
  4. Add 1 cup chopped nuts and 1 teaspoon vanilla to the sugar-butter mixture, then spread evenly over the crackers.
  5. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F for 10 minutes.
  6. Allow to cool, then break apart into pieces.
  7. Can be frozen for later use.
  8. Will not get soggy.
