Praline Heart Chocolates

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vinegar
  • 1/2 cup sliced almonds, toasted
  • 5 oz dark or milk chocolate, melted

Instructions

  1. To make the praline, combine sugar, 2 tbsp water and vinegar in a small saucepan. Stir over low heat until sugar dissolves. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, without stirring, for 8-10 mins, or until a golden caramel color.
  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Sprinkle almonds over tray then pour caramel over top. Let cool at room temperature until set.
  3. Once praline hardens, break into small pieces. Fold into melted chocolate. Spoon chocolate mixture into silicone heart molds. Let set at room temperature.
