Ingredients

  • 4 c. White Lily self-rising flour
  • 8 Tbsp. Crisco
  • milk

Instructions

  1. Mix shortening into the self-rising flour until well combined.
  2. Add enough milk to form a workable dough.
  3. Knead the dough briefly and roll it out to approximately 1/4-inch thickness.
  4. Cut into biscuits and place on a baking sheet.
  5. Bake at 400°F until biscuits are not sticky and golden brown, about 15 minutes.
  6. Biscuits can be stored in the refrigerator for several weeks or frozen for later use.
