Ingredients

  • 5 Tbsp self-rising flour
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 Tbsp butter or margarine

Instructions

  1. Sift self-rising flour and sugar together into a large bowl until lumps are gone.
  2. Pour in milk and stir well on high speed for 4 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat and stir with a whisk or fork.
  4. Add beaten eggs into the milk mixture. Stir again and cook for 3 more minutes.
  5. Stir briskly and cook for 1 additional minute.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and butter.
  7. Optional: Add coconut to make Coconut Creme Pie or bananas for Banana Pudding.
  8. Add vanilla wafers and serve.
