Ingredients

  • 1 pint hot water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla

Instructions

  1. Cook hot water, sugar, cornstarch, and vinegar in a saucepan for 3 minutes.
  2. Add butter and vanilla to the mixture and stir well.
  3. Pour over plain cakes or other desserts as desired.
