Ingredients

  • 3 c. white sugar
  • 1/2 c. vinegar
  • 2 Tbsp. oleo
  • 2 c. water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla or flavoring
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Instructions

  1. Boil the first 4 ingredients together until mixture turns brittle when dropped in cold water.
  2. Add flavoring and soda.
  3. Pour on buttered platter.
  4. Turn in edges as it cooks.
  5. When cool enough to handle, pull to clear and brittle.
  6. Cut into pieces and wrap.
