Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. butter
  • 1/4 c. boiling water
  • 1 slightly beaten egg yolk
  • 7/8 c. flour (1 c. minus 2 Tbsp.)
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Instructions

  1. Prepare crust for streudel by first dissolving the butter in boiling water.
  2. Cool.
  3. Blend in 1 slightly beaten egg yolk and flour, sifted with salt.
  4. Beat until very smooth.
  5. Now let pastry stand while preparing the filling.
