Instructions
- Heat deep fat to 375°.
- Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Beat vigorously 25 to 30 strokes.
- Turn dough onto a floured surface and knead about 10 times.
- Roll out about 3/8-inch thick.
- Cut with a floured doughnut cutter and place in hot fat.
- Fry until golden brown, about one or two minutes per side.
- Remove from fat and drain on absorbent paper.
- Sprinkle with powdered sugar, cinnamon and sugar or glaze with a thin chocolate icing.
- Store in a large canister.
