Ingredients

  • 2 1/3 c. sugar
  • 1 1/2 c. water plus 2/3 c. water
  • 3 c. flour
  • 3 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. shortening
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 Tbsp. melted butter
  • 4 c. raspberries

Instructions

  1. Combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and 1 1/2 cups water; cook 5 minutes. Pour into greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
