Raspberry Trifle is a delightful layered dessert combining sponge cake, fresh raspberries, raspberry Jell-O, rich custard, and whipped cream. Its vibrant flavors and creamy texture make it an ideal treat for special occasions or a refreshing summer dessert that impresses both family and guests.

Ingredients

  • sponge cake
  • 1 small raspberry Jell-O
  • 1 can raspberries
  • 4 cups custard
  • 5 oz whipping cream
  • 2 Tbsp sugar

Instructions

  1. Cover the base of the dish with sponge cake.
  2. Drain the canned raspberries and save the juice.
  3. Place the drained raspberries on top of the sponge cake.
  4. Make the raspberry Jell-O using the saved juice and water, then pour it over the sponge cake and allow it to set.
  5. Prepare the custard and let it cool.
  6. Pour the cooled custard over the set Jell-O and fruit layer.
  7. Whip the whipping cream with sugar until stiff, then spread it over the custard.
  8. Decorate the top with fresh raspberries before serving.
