- Put the fruit filling in a 9-inch baked pie shell.
- Crush 1 cup of fruit very fine.
- Heat 3/4 cup sugar with 1/2 cup water until sugar is dissolved.

- Make a smooth paste with 1 1/2 tablespoons cornstarch and 2 tablespoons water.
- Add the cornstarch paste to the strained fruit mixture.
- Cook until thick.
- Cool slightly and pour over the fruit filling.
