Ingredients

  • 2 gallons cucumbers
  • 2 cups pickling lime
  • 8 1/2 quarts water
  • 1 ounce red food coloring
  • 1 cup white vinegar

Instructions

  1. Peel and slice cucumbers.
  2. Soak cucumbers in pickling lime and 8 1/2 quarts of water for 24 hours.
  3. Rinse well and soak in cold water for 3 hours.
