Ingredients

  • 1 c. All-Bran cereal
  • 2 c. boiling water
  • 2 pkg. yeast in 1/4 c. warm water
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 3/4 c. sugar
  • 3/4 c. Crisco
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. whole wheat flour
  • 5 c. white flour

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 cups
  2. boiling water over bran, sugar, Crisco and salt. Cool to
  3. lukewarm.
  4. Soften
  5. 2 packages yeast in 1/4 cup water; let stand.
  6. Add
  7. 2
  8. beaten
  9. eggs
  10. and
  11. yeast
  12. to
  13. above mixture.
  14. Add 2 cups whole wheat flour and 5 cups white flour. Mix well.
  15. Let rise
  16. 1 hour.
  17. Punch down and shape into loaves or rolls.
  18. Let rise
  19. 1 1/2 hours.
  20. Bake 30 minutes for loaf at 350°, rolls 15 minutes at 400°.
