Rice Jello

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup rice
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 (3 oz.) box Jello
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 (13 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained

Instructions

  1. Put 1/2 cup rice into 3 cups water and boil slowly until rice is done.
  2. Add the Jello, any flavor, into the hot rice and water mixture; stir well.
  3. Add sugar, crushed pineapple, and salt; mix thoroughly.
  4. Pour mixture into a bowl and refrigerate until just about hardened.
  5. Stir in Cool Whip before serving.
