Rice With Bean Sprouts

Ingredients

  • 2 cups hot steamed rice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 1 tablespoon salad oil
  • 4 scallions (including tops, minced)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 1/2 cups bean sprouts
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

Instructions

  1. Prepare steamed rice, or use leftover rice.
  2. I usse white long grain rice.
  3. Place a wok or heavy fry pan over medium heat.
  4. When pan is hot, add sesame seeds and stir until golden (about 1 min).
  5. Pour seeds out of pan, crush coarsely with mortar and pestle, or whirl very briefly in blender.
  6. Set aside.
  7. Return pan to medium heat.
  8. When pan is hot, add oil.
  9. When oil is hot, add scallions and garlic.
  10. Stir fry until onions are soft.
  11. Add bean sprouts and stir until heated through being careful not to overcook.
  12. Add rice and soy to pan.
  13. Mix gently.
  14. Add sesame seed, mix gently.
  15. serve.
