Ingredients

  • 6 potatoes (sliced, I like to use russet potatoes and leave the skins on)
  • 1/4 cup margarine or 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey garlic barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili powder (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon liquid honey

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Wash and slice your potatoes. (Thick, thin, wedges or traditional fry shape. Cooking time will need to be adjusted to more or less time depending on thickness. This recipe is for traditional fries shape. ).
  3. In a saucepan, melt your butter and add in remaining ingredients. Stirring constantly.
  4. Once sauce has warmed up, pour over sliced potatoes and place on a parchment lined (or well greased baking sheet .They will make a mess and stick to the sheet!).
  5. Bake at 400 degrees for 45 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Note: I've also wrapped the potatoes up in aluminum foil and cooked them on the BBQ. You just need to keep checking for doneness.
