Ingredients

  • 2 lb. round steak
  • 6 to 8 slices bacon
  • 1 medium onion
  • 2 Tbsp. oil or shortening

Instructions

  1. Pound steak on both sides.
  2. Cut into 3-inch strips.
  3. Place a strip of bacon and a slice of onion on each strip.
  4. Fold over and tie with thin string.
  5. Heat oil or shortening in skillet over medium heat.
  6. Flour meat and brown in skillet.
  7. Add a little water and simmer for 1 hour.
  8. Yields 6 to 8 servings.
