Ingredients

  • 1 1/4 c. buttermilk
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. white pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. grated onion
  • 2 c. mayonnaise (homemade)
  • 1/2 lb. Roquefort cheese (not domestic Blue cheese), crumbled

Instructions

  1. Mix the buttermilk, lemon juice, seasonings and grated onion in a large bowl and stir until smooth.
  2. Blend in the mayonnaise and Roquefort cheese.
  3. Mix thoroughly, leaving a few lumps.
  4. Store in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  5. Yield: 1 1/2 pints.
