Ingredients

  • 4 cups warm water
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 packages yeast
  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 8 to 10 cups flour

Instructions

  1. Mix together the warm water, salt, and yeast until dissolved.
  2. Add the yellow cake mix and gradually incorporate the flour until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough until smooth and elastic, then let it rise until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough into a rectangle, spread with cinnamon and sugar if desired, then roll up tightly.
  5. Cut into individual rolls and place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Allow the rolls to rise again until puffy.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 20 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Remove from oven, glaze or frost as desired, and serve warm.
