Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 lb. venison
  • 1 garlic clove
  • butter
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme

Instructions

  1. Have the venison at room temperature.
  2. Rub the venison with garlic.
  3. Cover generously with butter and sprinkle with thyme.
  4. Roast at 450°F, uncovered, for 15 minutes.
  5. Rub with more butter.
  6. Roast for an additional 15 minutes at 400°F.
