Ingredients

  • 8 oz. canned tomatoes, peeled
  • 5 medium tomatillos, peeled and roasted
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cumin
  • 3 medium scallions, chopped
  • 1/2 bunch cilantro, chopped
  • 3 medium Serrano chilies, roasted

Instructions

  1. Salt and pepper to taste.
  2. In blender or food processor, combine tomatoes, spices and chilies.
  3. Blend until smooth and chunky.
  4. Place in large non-metallic bowl.
  5. Add remainder of ingredients.
  6. Let chill for 1 hour, then serve with tortilla chips.
