Delicate seared scallops coated in seasoned bread crumbs, sautéed with garlic butter, then flambéed with sherry for a rich, flavorful seafood dish perfect for special occasions.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. scallops
  • 1/2 cup seasoned bread crumbs
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • 1/4 cup butter

Instructions

  1. Coat the scallops with seasoned bread crumbs mixed with 2 tablespoons of flour, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix butter with 4 cloves of pressed garlic and 4 tablespoons of olive oil to make garlic butter.
  3. Put the butter mixture in a frying pan and heat until hot.
  4. Fry the scallops for 4 minutes on each side until browned.
  5. Add 1 1/2 shots of sherry into the pan.
  6. Cook for a few minutes until the sherry reduces slightly.
  7. Serve immediately.
