- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine organic flour, salt, arrowroot, cream of tartar, quarqum, and baking soda.
- Cut in the butter (ghee or goat butter) until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Gradually add milk, starting with 1 cup, until the dough comes together; add more as needed to form a soft but not sticky dough.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently knead a few times.
- Pat the dough into a 1-inch thick rectangle and cut into rounds with a floured biscuit cutter.
- Place biscuits on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 12-15 minutes or until golden brown.
- Serve warm with butter or jam.
