Simple Eggnog

Instructions
- Using an electric mixer or whisk, beat eggs with sugar until light and thoroughly combined.
- Beat in 2 cups of milk.
- Cook the mixture, stirring constantly, until it reaches 170° on candy thermometer
- and thickens slightly.
- Remove custard from the heat and stir in 2 more cups of milk.
- Chill the mixture thoroughly.
- Whip the heavy cream and fold the whipped cream into the chilled egg and milk mixture.
- Serve sprinkled with nutmeg.
