Ingredients

  • 1 head cabbage, chopped
  • 1 large can tomato juice
  • water
  • 1/3 cup barley

Instructions

  1. Cover chopped cabbage with water and bring to a boil.
  2. Drain the water from the cabbage.
  3. Add tomato juice and barley to the boiled cabbage.
  4. Bring to a boil again, then reduce heat and simmer until barley is soft, approximately 45 minutes to 1 hour.
