Ingredients

  • 1 yellow cake mix
  • 1 (20 oz.) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 large package vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 small carton Cool Whip

Instructions

  1. Bake the yellow cake mix according to the package directions in a 13 x 9-inch pan.
  2. When the cake is baked, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  3. Pour the hot pineapple mixture (crushed pineapple and sugar) over the hot cake, allowing it to soak in.
  4. Let the cake cool completely, then spread the vanilla pudding mix evenly over the top.
  5. Finally, spread the small carton of Cool Whip over the pudding layer before serving.
