Ingredients

  • 1 lb. flank steak
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce (light)
  • 3 Tbsp. soy sauce (dark)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 4 Tbsp. sherry
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 Tbsp. fresh ginger, minced

Instructions

  1. Unroll the entire flank steak.
  2. Trim off fat.
  3. Cut into 1/8 inch slices across the grain.
  4. Marinate at least 4 hours, stirring sliced beef on bamboo skewers like ribbon candy.
  5. Barbecue over charcoal or set oven to broil.
  6. Brown 4 inches away from broiler for just a few minutes, turning over once to brown both sides.
